It is small and streamlined so it does not get in the way when sticking out of the USB port. I found the installation to be quite easy to easy with the supplied disk. I tested this unit with a MacBook pro with only "n" wifi and I was very impressed with the speed I could get from this unit considering it is a USB wifi.
Now I did find that if I removed the adapter and continued to work and I tried to put it back in I had to reboot my computer to get it to be visible on occasion. Not sure if this is a Mac thing or an adapter thing, but it did not affect the usefulness of the device.
